The sorrow of Vinnytsia

Russian missiles hit a business complex and a cultural center in the central Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia on Thursday, killing at least 23 people in an attack. Ukrainian authorities label war crimes and act of terrorism. Sound producer Andriy is on his way to the studio with two colleagues when the rocket hits. „We hadn’t had any attacks in Vinnytsia before, so nobody expected it.“The force of the explosion knocks her car over, tearing off part of the roof. „I fell unconscious, everything was dark.“ When Andriy regained consciousness shortly afterwards, he saw fire and explosions everywhere. His driver Vitaly died instantly, his colleague Viktor was seriously injured. Andriy’s great luck: „There was a loudspeaker in front of me in the car that caught some of the splinters, that saved my life.“ The doctors operated on metal and glass from his body several times, but there are still some splinters in him.
